The Spoon is an Atlanta restaurant
off Marietta Street that has been converted from Thelma’s Kitchen into
an urban cafe with red tables and hardwood floors.
Exposed pipes give the restaurant a modern industrial feel.
The Thai cuisine is excellent, with choices varying in degree of
spice, including such dishes as massaman yellow curry, basil stir-fry,
and red snapper. With dishes inspired by
Mediterranean, Italian, and Asian flavors, one favorite Atlanta
restaurant is the Mix Lounge and Restaurant.
A great after-dark scene, the Mix offers a great lemon martini,
to be enjoyed with or without the fine flavors of dishes such as
sweet-hot saline oysters, or fork-tender braised pork with barbecue
flavor and melted fontina. Also
try the grilled Italian bleu cheese sandwich with proscuitto.
A dessert favorite is Nutella, much like S’mores. |
